H A L F a Y E A R

I know a boy who puts the color into our world and he joined us 6 months ago!

Clothing size: Anderson can still wear some 3-6 months and is in the transition to 6-9 months. Some of which are still a little big, but I'm okay with that 'cause he's growing way too fast.

Diaper size:Size Three! We love the LUVS brand. We are needing to buy some more diapers so pretty soon we will be moving him up to size 4...(WHAT!?) I always move him up a size a little early so we don't waste diapers when he grows out of them.

Nickname: Papas, Bupas, Bubbas, Bub, Bud, and Anders.

Sleep: Not gonna lie, I suck at sleep training.... I have the hardest time letting him cry it out! We had a good thing going and then we went on vacation and that messed everything up so we are working on getting back on a schedule before we leave for Oregon for two weeks. Hoping that we can stick to the schedule when we travel.

Likes: Looking around at everything, playing with his hands, eating his hands, Scooting around the floor, Anderson loves his white noise, still loves sleeping on mom, Bath Time, Tummy Time (while watching Bubble Guppies), Cuddling, Eating, He also loves to sit and watch TV with dad (Anderson loves to watch football), we have a thumb sucker and man does he love it.. Anderson loves to be either wrapped in his happy wrap or in his Björn.

(Anderson is a busy body and doesn't sit still)

Dislikes: Anderson doesn't have very many dislikes and I'm not just saying that. He's a very happy and content little guy. Sometimes he'll get upset while getting dressed and when he is HUNGRY he gets really HANGRY!!! But who doesn't....

Milestones: Anderson has learned a lot. He rolls over like a champ and can sit up when positioned, but then gets to excited and then falls down. We have a scooter! We can no longer leave Anderson in one spot. WE ACTUALLY HAVE TO WATCH HIM! lol He has found his voice too. Anderson will scream and yell all day. It is the cutest thing but sometimes its a little much especially when driving on the freeway and all you hear is one loud scream and then nothing else for a while and then you hear him move and he has fallen asleep. Instant freak out mommy moment right there.

I love my little guy so much and cannot believe he is 6 months old! Where has the time gone? Its been a half a year people! I have been a mom for HALF a year?!?!? How is that even possible? I love my life though and wouldn't trade him for the world. Anderson definitely completes me and this little family of ours.

James has been gone with school and med school interviews and it was so fun to see how excited Anderson gets when he sees his dad! It melts my heart to see how sweet their relationship is.

falling into fall

Fall is just around the corner and I am sad to see the warm summer days go but am so excited for fall. I love fashion so much and as New York Fashion week is going on it has inspired me to get more into the fall looks for 2016! The only good thing about summer coming to an end is that we get to look forward to all the cozy fall looks. While I love a good sundress and sandals, summer is a bit limiting when it comes to fashion. Fall, on the other hand has opens the door to endless possibilities! You can wear just about anything, from dresses, over sized sweaters, boots and more. The brisk fall weather allows you to wear your entire wardrobe, which means you have more creative freedom.

Here are a few of my favorite colors to have in my closet for fall.

Don't forget your basic BLACK and CHEETAH! You can never go wrong with that combination!

Here are some looks I have found while scrolling through pinterest;

I have saved all these looks to my pinterest board THE LOOK

I am excited to try this style out! Not going to lie I am a little nervous but what is fashion if not experimenting with your look?

I love this ripped jean look. You can dress them up or dress them down and that makes them so valuable to have in your closet because you can wear them with pretty much anything you want. The look in the middle is a perfect way to transition from summer to fall with a cute summer dress and adding an oversize sweater and boots.

Here is some makeup ready for your fall back to school look;

How pretty are these cooler tones?

I'm obssesed with these fall lip colors!

You can shop these makeup looks and more at my shopstyle (if you look on the left hand side of my blog you will see the direct link to the products.

Hope you all are as ready for fall as I am! Thanks for taking the time to read. I would love to know what you guys would like to see. Thank you for all the support you guys have given me.

Nursery Reveal

Anderson is 6 months old and his nursery is finally finished.... (for now). I am in love with the nursery as a whole and each individual item in here.

It's so bright and fun! I am loving all the authentic pieces we have received as gifts and collected.

This beautiful oil painting was painted for James in Honduras by someone he served during his LDS mission.

I'm so lucky to have a husband that will help me with my DIY projects and make my pinterest dreams come true. We made this cute little shelf for Anderson's clothes.

This sweet little alpaca is from my cute grandma. She got this from Bolivia. This is one of the first things we received for Andersons nursery once I decided what the theme was going to be.

I am in love with this cactus pillow. Anderson received this cute little elephant from his Aunt Kelsey for his blessing gift. I love Mexican serape blankets and this cute little one was a gift from my boss straight from Mexico! IN LOVE! Crib sheets are from Anderson's Aunt Shauna. She made this! She is amazing with a sewing machine.

Those cute little chanclas! I mean how cute are these? They are decoration for now 'til they fit him. I'm hoping he grows into them soon before summer is over. James got this Mexican spinning top, or "trompo", on his mission and it fits perfectly in Anderson's room.

How cute is this elephant? When I saw it I instantly thought it looked like a piñata. We use it as a bowtie, and pacifier clip holder.

Anderson's cute little reading section. This stool was a gift from his Aunt Dawn. She is so crafty! How cute is this swaddle from Little Unicorn? This is hands down my favorite pattern they have.

I am so excited to see all of these things come together. I am currently working on getting the rest of my house done now that Anderson's room is complete.

Cozy in his bed!

730 days down

I cannot believe that James and I have been married for two years!! I have fallen more and more in love with him every day. Last year we were getting ready to become parents and this year we are parents to the best little dude ever. Our lives have changed so much from the day we said I DO and I wouldn't change it for anything.

This year we spent our anniversary in the cute little town of Lynchburg, Virginia. The state of lovers. James has started the med school interviewing process and I was so happy that I was able to go experience that with him. He interviewed at Liberty University College of Osteopathic Medicine. It was an awesome way to spend our anniversary weekend; touring around a potential location to start the next chapter of our story.

Anderson and I are sad to let James go back to school for the fall as we've become so used to having him home during the day this summer. But this is the last fall semester of his BYU career and I'm so proud of my hubby and all he has accomplished.

I am so grateful for my little family and the wonderful man I get to experience life with one day at a time.

7 3 0 D A Y S D O W N & ETERNITY TO GO!

If I had to do it all over again I would find you sooner so I could love you longer. Thanks for choosing me to spend forever with. Happy Anniversary James. I LOVE YOU!
