How are we already at T E N months?

Clothing size: Anderson is in 9-12 month clothes

Diaper size: Size Three! We love the LUVS brand.

Nickname: Papas, Bupas, Bubbas, Bub, Bud, Bilbo, Bilby, Ders, and Anders.

Sleep: We are sleeping through the night! Anderson loves his sleep and we are slowly changing his bed time to a little earlier. Right now he's going down at around 9:30 to 10:00 pm. He's adjusting slowly but surely.

Likes: Anderson LOVES getting into everything! He crawls around and thinks everything is a fun new toy. He is super fast and very strong for a little guy. Anderson can pull himself up on chairs, the edge of the couch, and walk around. He loves to be able to move from one end to the other especially when mom and dad are sitting on it. He has started letting go and launching himself forward.
He loves all the baby food and his puffs, but nothing beats mamas milk!!! Anderson knows exactly when its time to snuggle up with mom and eat! Tubby time has always been a favorite but now that he can move around and play with toys its even more exciting for him. Anderson got a walker and has loved being able to get around in a new way. Anderson has also taken his first couple steps and is so much closer to walking on his own!!

Dislikes: Anderson doesn't have very many dislikes and I'm not just saying that. He's a very happy and content little guy. Sometimes he'll get upset while getting dressed and when he is HUNGRY he gets really HANGRY!!! But who doesn't....

Anderson went to his very first Jazz game and loved it!

We were surprised when we woke up to find the arrival of Anders the Elf! We cannot wait to see all the mischief he gets himself into.
Greetings from the North Pole!
Christmas time is here again!
That means it's time for me to move in!
SANTA has sent me to watch & listen.
So I can report back what he is missing.

My elf magic happens when you are GOOD,
So listen to your parents just like you should!
To keep the magic alive and your elf safe,
Keep your hands to yourself for goodness sake!

If you do as you're asked you'll find me each day,
In a new hiding place, having fun and waiting to play.
Watch for my notes, and as Christmas nears,
Watch for the sky, you might see the reindeer!
Love,
Anders the Elf

NINE MONTHS!

Clothing size: Anderson is in 9-12 month clothes but can squeeze into 6-9 month clothes if he needs to.

Diaper size: Size Three! We love the LUVS brand.

Nickname: Papas, Bupas, Bubbas, Bub, Bud, Bilbo, Bilby, Ders, and Anders.

Sleep: We are sleeping through the night! Anderson loves his sleep from 11:00 pm to 7:00 am wakes up to eat and goes right back to sleep till 10:00 am and then he wakes up to eat again and sometimes we can put him right back down till 1:00 pm.

Likes: Anderson LOVES getting into everything! He crawls around and thinks everything is a fun new toy. He is super fast and very strong. Anderson can pull himself up on chairs, the edge of the couch and walk around and he loves to be able to move from one end to the other especially when mom and dad are sitting on it. He just wants to be where everyone is.

Dislikes: Anderson doesn't have very many dislikes and I'm not just saying that. He's a very happy and content little guy. Sometimes he'll get upset while getting dressed and when he is HUNGRY he gets really HANGRY!!! But who doesn't....

Anderson celebrated his very first Christmas! We had so much fun seeing his reaction to opening presents and trying all the good food. We got the OK from his doctor to start giving him some table foods and Anderson is IN LOVE. He cannot get enough of mom and dad's food. It has also made it nice when James and I are eating and we can just give him some of our food and not have to eat really fast just to feed him. Anderson got to go on another airplane ride to see both sets of grandparents and he did AMAZING! He had everyone laughing when we landed back in Utah it was so fun to see him having a good time.

Anderson's first Gomez family tradition Santa mall picture. He did so good and wasn't scared at all. Fingers crossed that he doesn't get scared when he gets older.

Anderson giving a big hug to his aunt Halie. They got to bond a little more over this Christmas break. Its so fun seeing each relationship Anderson has with all of his family.

Second Gomez family tradition is Christmas pj's! Anderson loved this part of the day because this is the closest he had been to a Christmas tree and was actually allowed to touch it. I cannot believe that my baby is already NINE months old. Time needs to slow down a little.

'tis the season of gratitude

Take a moment and think, how often do you pause to appreciate what you have in life?

" We often take for granted the very things that most deserve our gratitude." - Cynthia Ozick

While taking the time to write this post I realized how the world is such a beautiful place, and we're lucky to live in such an amazing world. As the holiday season is upon us it's a good time to think about all the amazing people and things you have to be thankful for in your life. I know that often it's easy to feel bad because you're going through a tough time in life, but remember that no matter how bad the situation may seem at the moment, there are millions of things to be grateful for.

I am so lucky to have my loving husband and my little buddy Anderson! They are truly what makes my whole world go round! I am so thankful for the opportunity I have in this life to be a wife and mother. It truly brings me so much happiness. James is my person and I wouldn't want to do life with anyone else. I am so thankful I get to be in his life as his wife and to watch him be the best dad to Anderson! He has so many amazing qualities and I can't wait for him to teach our children how to be the best that they can be. Anderson is my perfect chunky man and I'm thankful for the love and joy he brings to me everyday. When I'm having a really hard day his cuddles, smiles, laughs and kisses always make it better. He has taught me patience and I will always be so grateful for that.
I wanted to share just a few more things to be THANKFUL for!

1.     Your parents – for giving birth to you. If not for them you wouldn't be possible.
2. Your family – for being your closest support team.
3. Your soul mate – for being the one who understands everything you’re going through.
4. Your best friends – for being there for you whenever you need them.
5. Your enemies – for helping you uncover your blind spots so you can become a better person.
6. Strangers – for brightening up your days when you least expect it.
7. Your mistakes – for helping you to improve and become a better person.
8. Heartbreaks – for helping you mature and become stronger.
9. Laughter – for filling your life with joy.
10. Love – for letting you feel what it means to truly be alive.
11. Challenges – for helping you grow and become who you are.
12. Life – for giving you the chance to experience all that you have and will experience.
13. Tears – for helping you express your deepest emotions.
14. Disappointment – so you know the things that matter to you most.
15. Fears – so you know your opportunities for growth.
16. Pain – for you to become a stronger person.
17. Sadness – for you to appreciate the many emotions of the human body.
18. Your mistakes – for helping you to improve and become better.
19. Happiness – for you to soak in the beauty of life.
20. Music – for lifting your spirits when you’re down and for making the happy moments happier.
21. Your job – for giving you a source of living.
22. Your home – for a place you can call home.
23. Cell phones – for making it easy to stay in touch with others.
24. Internet – for connecting you and others no matter how far away you are.
25. Transportation – for making it easier to commute from one place to another.

The last thing I want to add to this list is YOU because you are who you are and you touch this world like no other person could.
